Frequently Asked Questions

Is there noise restrictions at Lakeside?

Yes, there is noise limits at Lakeside Park! However, at our event last year, we had no complaints!

Lakeside Park and its activities are held to a strict noise limit requirement. These limits are imposed upon Lakeside Park by Moreton Bay Regional Council. The noise limits for Lakeside Park are tested statically at a distance of 8 metres from the exhaust exit point of the vehicle. All vehicles must be below 95db to proceed onto the race circuit. Whilst on the circuit noise limits are also tested and enforced, 95db at the tracks edge. If your vehicle is above this level, please address the noise level before entering an event at Lakeside Park.

Do I need a licence to participate?

You will need a drivers licence to participate.

If you are only wanting to do HAPPY LAPS, you DO NOT need a Racers Licence.

If you are wanting to participate in SOCIAL SPRINTS and / or ROLL-RACING, you WILL need a RACERS Clubman Licence.

You can purchase a single event licence for $50, or purchase an annual licence for $95. This is in addition to buying an entry ticket to the event and it is non-negotiable. All licences can be purchased by clicking here. If you are having trouble creating an account or accessing your account, please contact RACERS on 1800 722 377.

How  will the day run?

The day will be run as a "Lakeside Family Club Event." This means there will be many Happy Laps which all the family can participate in. All occupants must wear a restraint with children in approved child restraints or booster seats. We will also undertake Social Sprints and Roll-Racing where participants must wear long-sleeves, long-pants (non-flammable is preferred), enclosed shoes and a AUS/NZ standard helmet must be worn during these two sessions. Additional to your entry ticket, entrants wanting to participate in the Social Sprints and Roll-Racing MUST have a Racers Clubman Licence [click here to purchase]. There will also be a Parade Lap to allow us to capture everyone who attends the event on track! Feel free to jump out of your car and snap some pics before the procession begins!
